About the place you will visit

Established in 1991 in Boscoreale, a small village  situated at the foothills of Mount Vesuvius, this little museum displays some archaeological and organic finds coming from the Vesuvius’s territory that helps to reconstruct the economy, the flora and the fauna of the area before the eruption in 79 A.D. Among the pieces there are examples of botanical species, fruits, cereals, vegetables and legumes, textile and animal fibers, two original plaster casts, glass bottles, bronze furnishings and different types of working tools.

Tour Description

You will truly be amazed to see the original artefacts, tools, but especially organic food still preserved after 2000 years! The tour takes places in the little museum where the guide is going to point out the most interesting features of the Roman culture, habits and lifestyle.

Useful Tips

Comfortable shoes are advisable. Bring with you only the useful items. Photos are allowed in the museum.
